His stomach twists uncomfortably as he imagines all the ways this could go wrong, and he almost wants to insist that Midar come with him instead. But now that he thinks about it, it's likely too far; he can't be certain the journey wouldn't be more detrimental to his companion than it's worth. It seems there's no right decision here, and it's a distinctly uncomfortable feeling.
