The mans face contorted in confusion as chaos erupted the group. His face stern as Valette asked questions, as Clay's friend cried and ran. Greyback had not heard much about the Nightwalkers save from what Valette had told him. Clay had said nothing, not even mentioning it once to him. He knew this well, was aware of it but did not press it as he feared for running the boy away from him.

But Clay was now snapping at his mother, and Greyback, with ears forward and posture rising, stepped in between the two and glared at his son. "Do not raise your voice at your Mother." He was even more confused with the information thrown at him by his son, but he understood a bit more about the questions asked and the orange agouti's outburst.

He looked behind him to see if Valette was alright or if she was just as confused as him, but as soon as Clay crumbled to the grass at their feet he departed, and Greyback's heart sank as he watched his son flee through the tall grass. "What... just happened?" he questioned to his mate.
