Goddamn, she'd struck gold. 

Sure, the place was cramped, and sure, they were on iron rations, but once she got over the stench of wolf she was able to enjoy the benefits of her safety being somebody else's problem. So injured and feverish (albeit the fever was receding) she was not expected to help with whatever it was packs did on the daily, and could focus on her healing/well-earned lazing around instead.

She was in front of her "den" - a sort of natural indent in the canyon wall which protected her from the elements - and laid on her back as to not irritate the healing injuries on her neck.

It would be so fucking easy to get used to this.
