when mireille could no longer see sapphique, she glanced solemnly at @Sobo.
the sea breezes were harsh here, with no stone or mountain to block their lash. she felt herself buffeted roughly sideways; she recovered herself with a laugh.
gulls flew overhead, and the sea was a magnificent turquoise hue that seemed glasslike all the way down. she felt her spirits lifting, and danced ahead.
"oh, look!"
a pod of white dolphins, and with them, three baby calves. her eyes stung with sudden, elated tears.
