a cold look furrowed indra's brow as she inspected her sister over; there were a few ugly marks marring laurel's muzzle, a few nicks here and there -- but nothing serious. indra was relieved, for the fight had been tense and terrifying to watch. she had wanted so deeply then to drive into that mute wolf with every fang she possessed -- but the wolf's companion had frustrated her progress.

indra was equally outraged as laurel, and a sharp fin of hackle hair flared across her back as she thought of the altercation anew. she was visibly angry -- and visibly distressed. "she doesn't have any right." indra insisted quietly, her tone cold. "we were here first." her gaze then shifted from laurel to the forest, and she looked on with a somewhat empty stare. "hard to see what he likes in her."
now the wren has gone to roost and the sky is turning gold,
and like the sky, my soul is also turning.
