Speedy told a story about some guy she'd been close with back home, before she had to leave. Charon wondered why she left if she liked someone who liked her back, but he both felt that he just know this somewhere deep in his mind, as well as he wasn't all that interested to hear more about this Emrik. It was all water under the bridge now, after all.

She then asked a return question about he and Amekaze. Many years. Four or so. I did not choose her because I was in love, though. I chose her because she was the Alpha that stood beside me. Amekaze was the smart choice, the logical choice, the choice that ticked all of the boxes. She'd always been that and he'd always been proud to stand beside her.
