Mal figured he'd go deal with the Ying and Kratos and Zephyr things before he headed out on his trip -- only problem was chaos was likely to abound so uh... So much for that brilliant plan.  It would happen eventually, sure, just probably not the way Mal was expecting. They really did need to get the whole figuring out fighting thing settled.

Honestly, Mal had grown up as such a hermit, he hadn't even thought of communal dens being a thing. Maybe he'd contemplate that again as winter came close for next year. Back mentally on topic, he replied to Atausiq, Mixed bag -- a few together, but most have their own places if they've got a place. Hopefully we're close enough into spring that we don't have to worry about it like.. being needed to not freeze to death, you know? Kind of gallows-y humor but hey, winter was long and kind of awful so if he could smile about it now, that was all good. If you want something short-term, you can probably can still find a few of the places I dug out under the larger trees if they haven't melted into nothingness. It was still pretty cold, so he figured that they probably would be there, but eh.
