All Welcome
Time, now, for Aventus to begin.
He was settling well into his new role within Ursus, though felt at times quite aimless next to the ambitions of his parents. Besides proving himself as prince, what purpose did he have as the jaws of the bear?
Perhaps he could spread word of the bear to outsiders and lure them to Ursus' doorstep, to populate the valley alongside his family and to serve them, as the wretched grey Karst sought to. Perhaps the pack would swell with them, and his parents would swell with pride.
He didn't know how to do that, yet, so he chose a smaller goal: ascertain the status of nearby enemies. It was known that Easthollow was gone, but there was another pack to the north that was no friend of Ursus. Aventus didn't know the details, but he knew his sire hated Legion.
Time to pay them a visit, he thought, as he trotted northward across the Downs.

she wandered aimlessly for some time. lingering near some packs then drifting away again.
this time, she passed by one. seemingly...strong compared to other packs in these wilds. she was almost tempted to linger but thought better of it. strong packs knew not to feed strays.

a scar kept her fur bare upon her neck. she wore it like a badge of honour, though he didn't win. neither did, in her mind. but she was a sore loser. a dark form darted across the land.
back the way she came from. perhaps her ticket in? he looked like some sort of scout. on a mission. she should tread carefully should she interrupt him.

Sasha picked up her pace, aiming to draw alongside this stranger. younger than she. possibly his first task. pack scent coated him, also strong. she didn't recognise it though. she wouldn't have been able to anyway, given she didn't care to remember what the pack in the pass smelt like.

"going somewhere?" she passed him a flirty grin, her tail waving side to side. neutral and friendly.

Aventus was not oblivious to the approach of another; he simply didn't care. A sidelong glance was all Sasha received from him as she sidled closer, a pale creature with a gilded blanket and a curiously curled tail that wagged. Unnatural, that. Aventus' own was held in a straight line behind him, rigid and unwaving.

She spoke in a tone that might have coaxed attention from another, but he was a devoted Ursus wolf with no interest in her. His singular focus was on reaching Legion's lands, not being distracted by some... Nobody from nowhereland. So, unknowingly choosing to be outright rude about it, Aventus did not reply, but merely kept trotting on, telegraphing tension but otherwise unresponsive to Sasha.
