Phoenix Maplewood Across from the medical centre

This can be present-dated for any who join! It won't apply for any of the BWP prompts as it's set before July 1, but I'd still love some company :)

In the shade of the forest, Lilia paused her searching to scavenge for a meal, drawn to the area by the scent of fresh, ripening wild strawberries. Beneath the shady birch and maple, the forest floor was lush and green, with fronds of ferns that danced on the slightest breeze.
The area buzzed with bees, that had come to pollinate the tiny white flowers, and with great success- the earliest blossoms had already produced myriad of tiny little red fruits that grew close to the ground.

Lilia had roamed to and from the Rise for a number of days, but had found no signs of Avicus. Each time she returned to the pack, she hoped to find the Wealda's scent along the borders, and to hear that she had returned home to the kids. Every time she returned, she was disappointed. 

She ate the berries as she went, even savouring the sour taste of berries that weren't quite ripe yet. It made the muscles in her jaw smart, and caused her to salivate. It would be a sour-sweet end to a search that had yielded no results.
