Ezekiel found them.
In autumn, Zeke and Valette had gone on a scouting trip, in search of a new home for their pack. He remembered the hunt very vividly, he remembered the golden tint of the sunlight on the forest floor as he chased the small doe. He remembered the fall, the ridge that he'd slipped from and fallen, and fallen and fallen. He'd laid there for a few days, broken and unconscious. When he'd come to, he couldn't remember anything. He remembered seeing a dark brown silhouette, a beautiful woman with honey eyes. She haunted his dreams because he knew her, but he couldn't remember who she was.
Confused and hurt, Ezekiel had dragged himself away, unknowingly going further and further from his family. At some point he'd left the Wilds, and on the brink of death, a pack had found him. Their healer nursed him to health, and somehow he was alive. A few days later he remembered them. The Silvertip wolves. His family. He put a name to the face of the woman who'd haunted him. Valette. He put a name to the face of the dark male who walked with him in his dreams. Steady.
So he slipped away from the pack who'd healed him, in the darkness of a winter night. He travelled back the way he'd come, trying to find his way back home. When at last he made it to Teekon, he was tired and worn. He hadn't eaten in a few days, and he slept only a few hours. He started to go back towards Silvertip Mountain, but on the way there he caught onto the scent of his family. The wolves he knew had been on this trail before. So he turned back and began following that trail, on a whim that perhaps they'd already moved.
Finally he was there. The borders were marked so strongly and there was no mistaking the scents he smelled. There were a few wolves missing, but the ones that mattered most still mingled here. He stood at the border, breathing heavily, so tired and worn now that he could barely stand. He stared blankly out at the meadows ahead of him, the new home of the Silvertip wolves.
Ezekiel found them.
He let out a howl, a long howl in his low gruff tone. He swayed on his feet for a moment, and then his icy blue eyes began to flutter. He collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The wind rippled through his silvery grey fur, carrying his scent into the air around him.

Libra had been accepted into the pack, and she found that she liked the wolves within her new home. She hadn't really introduced herself yet but she had seen them around, and observed them from a distance. Everyone inside Easthollow seemed nice and civil, though she was sure that there were occasional spats here and there. She had been practicing her hunting on small game, a rabbit specifically when a deep howl sounded from the borders. She curiously made her way to the invisible boundaries, and gasped when she saw the male lying there unconscious.
The first thing she knew to do was call for the alphas, and so she sent up an urgent cry for @Steady and @Valette. Then she frantically shifted her weight from side to side, thinking of herbs to boost energy. The only one's she knew of were traveler's herbs, or Chamomile but they needed to be chewed by a wolf and an unconscious wolf couldn't do that. So instead she opted to move forward and gently paw at the male's face, which was a dangerous thing to do but she couldn't help herself. He could be injured or sick, or close to death and that meant he should be kept awake.

ooc: I have many threads I need to reply to but I NEED TO SEE ZEKE <3
Krypton's recent search for adrenaline had complteded itself quickly after her victories and defeats and new scars. The Brutish woman was on her normal patrols, inspecting borders, chasing out vermin, marking trees and spots with her scent and such. But what caught her attention mostly was that Someone called for an audience in a voice she knew. A voice she had forgotten. A voice she longed to hear. A voice she befriended.
ezekiel. He had returned. She enjoyed his company, she remembered when she first saw him, when the duo and the rest of the pack dealt with the famine and such. They weren't close, but friends at least. when his song elevated itself onto the spring breezes, Krypton used her long legs to cover the ground with ease, racing to him. It didn't take too long for her, she could already see him. He was on the ground, collapsed like a corpse as what seemed to be another wolf trying to arouse him. The other she did not know but could smell her own scent on her- she was a new pack member she had yet to met.
She entered the scene as quickly as possible, looking towards the other before looking at Ezekiel. With pleading eyes, she looked towards the other and spoke hoarsely. "Fresh blood of a kill, any animal will do. Please find one to help arouse him," she told her. Krypton was no hunter, but she was a caretaker and medic in training. She had remembered a situation like this with a male, lasher was it? Blood is what awoke defeated beasts enough to get them somewhere new and out of the open. The burly woman turned her attention back to the grey male before nudging his neck with the bridge of her muzzle a few times.

Valette stiffened in mid-trot when a howl sounded through their territory. The female lifted her head wondering if she hadn't imagined it. The howl sounded like Ezekiel, but he was dead. Valette was certain of that. The alpha female then caught the following howl of their newest member. So there had been someone at the borders.
The woman made her way over to the border as quickly as she could. Her dark tail held up high as she approached. There her hazel eyes fell upon a gray body and two of the pack's females. Valette broke down her trot into a walk and slowly approached the passed out male. Her eyes intently on him as her nose tried to take him his scent.
It was him. Ezekiel. Anger filled her body. Where had he been? She had been looking for him for months! It was quite rare to see a glare on the friendly female's face. Valette grew bitter, reminded once again how someone left her. Slowly her glare became a more stoic look. She just watched how Krypton tried to revive the male, or at least get him to gain consciousness.
Valette wondered what Steady was going to think of his arrival. Their former Beta. Krypton had been their former Beta too, they had accepted her back in the pack. Yet, her relationship with Ezekiel had been more personal. If he hadn't left then she wouldn't have been mated to Steady. She was certain that her mateship would be with they gray male before her. A hard reality.
A brief tug of war started. Steady or Ezekiel. Her choice was made quickly. Steady. She was loyal to him and wanted to carry his young. She loved the dark male. Ezekiel was from another time. She was a young adult, merely having a crush. She reasoned that with Ezekiel it hadn't been love. Steady was real and Steady would never leave her. Ezekiel, on the other hand, didn't keep his promises whatever reason he had for leaving. Valette had been abandoned too many times.

Ezekiel could hear voices, another howl, footsteps. However in his barely receptive ears, they sounded more like fuzzy tremors, like the quiet booms after a bomb. He barely felt the poking and prodding, or more he felt it but wasn't conscious enough to comprehend. It's like he was still asleep, but his body was awake. He breathed in slowly, in and out through his nose, though it was shallow. Every time he breathed out, his skin hugged tight to his ribs. He was clearly in bad shape, hunger had taken him. The meat under his skin was not but muscle now.
At last his eyes opened. Just the tiniest slit. Everything was completely blurred out. He could only make out shapes now. It reminded him of the way he'd felt after the fall, how he could only remember the silhouettes of his loved ones. He moved his head barely, trying to look around. He couldn't recognize two of the people around him from their shapes alone, though one seemed familiar. But at last his eyes came to fall on a silhouette that had haunted his dreams for weeks. This was the silhouette he'd travelled across entire territories for.
Meekly he raised his head, shaking as he did so. What he needed most now was rest, however he had to see her. His eyes refocused, and for a moment all he could see was her. Valette. A soft smile fell upon his lips, she was just as beautiful as he remembered. She was safe too, just as he'd hoped. He lay there, staring at her, just happy to finally be with her again. There was so much he wanted to say to her, so much, but that could wait for later.

Libra looked toward the new female with reief stepping away from the fallen male, and tucking her tail offering a toothy smile that was both shy and showing submissive stance. She listened closely to the instructions given and nodded before taking off without a spoken word. She ran nimbly through the undergrowth avoiding the larger parts so her running wouldn't make too much noise. She took the fastest path back to where she had been hunting the rabbit. She had left before right as Valette arrived on scene, and moved quickly to find the rabbit.
Springing from the undergrowth she wasn't surprised when she found the prey had disappeared. Lowering her nose to the ground where she had originally saw it she drew the musty, meaty scent of the rabbit and began to track it. It had gone through bushes, around several trees, through a smal area of tall weeds, and finally Libra found it. Crouching low behind the weeds she watched the small rabbit chew quickly on a plant it's jowls twitching and bulging as it shoved the greenery into the flat back teeth and ground it up. Patiently she waited until it hopped a few feet closer and turned it's back and she sprang forward, grabbing it inbetween strong jaws and snapping it's spine. She then snapped it's neck so it wouldn't suffer too badly.
Grabbing it in her jaws she ran back the way she came and dropped it in front of the weak Male's nose before looking over at Valette and flattening her ears back and dropping into a slight crouch, tail tucked slightly beneath her belly. "He called from the borders, I answered it but when I got here he was on the ground Unconscious" she explained in a hushed tone.

She didn't pay attention to anything at the moment, her main concern was making sure Zeke was okay and everything. The older woman looked towards Libra with a thankful expression on her face. Krypton swooped the rabbit and ripped it open feverishly, making sure that the blood would go into his nose and hopefully his mouth. At least that could give some kinda kick to him. However, the medic's decision didn't seem to have any effect, Zelenograd was already smiling at the approaching female, their alpha valette.
krypton was about to speak but decided to let the other female handle it. Instead, she only nodded in agreement before looking towards the alpha. "I suggest we get him out of the open and into a den. I can offer mine for him to re cooperate in until he can be on his own," she said to her in a rather fast pace as she locked her gaze with the younger male before returning it back towards the two females. "One of you, please help me get him up- he's exhausted and needs to rest somewhere." She asked the two, hoping one would jump right in. Krypton walked back over to zeke on his left side, looking to one of the females to do the same so they could lift him up. If they were lucky, krypton would just be over preparing the entire situation and zeke wouldn't need to much help to get around and up.

Valette watched the male lift his head for a brief moment. Krypton was trying to revive the male a bit. Valette was not quickly impressed by Ezekiel and his actions. She decided to step closer after Libra returned. She was already helping out and even explaining what happened. Valette nodded to her. "He is an old pack member of ours," she explained to her.
Krypton offered to put Ezekiel in her den. Valette didn't want Ezekiel in her den so she instantly agreed with a bob of her head. "That sounds good. You as a healer can watch over him," she spoke in return to Krypton. The big female then stood next to the male to help him to his feet. Valette wasn't certain what to expect or if he was able to get up on his own. She wanted to grab his scruff and hoist him up, just so he could feel her hurting grip in his neck.
Valette glanced at Libra. "Why don't you two bring him back to Krypton's home? I shall tell Steady that Ezekiel has returned," she spoke, not really wanting to deal with this male when her anger levels were this high.

Ezekiel lost track of how much time had passed since he first conked out, and before he knew it he was awoken once more, this time by the scent of blood. His icy eyes opened to find a fresh kill had been placed in front of him. He stared at it for a moment, still locked in a odd daze, then he began to lap at the blood. The taste warmed his tongue, and sent a momentary shudder through his body. The last time he'd eaten something other than a mouse was... he'd lost track of that too.
As he started to eat, he began to feel alive and aware again. He realized that one of the women by his side was Krypton. Krypton. He remembered her so well now. She was the first face he'd ever met in Teekon, and the second he met at his return. He looked back to Valette, wondering why she stayed so far away. He wanted her to come to him, he wanted to feel her embrace and see her beautiful smile. But she wasn't smiling. She looked angry. He had the feeling it was his fault, and his mind began to shift to the time when she had told him her story. How she'd been abandoned so many times. He'd promised her he wouldn't do that to her, and then he had. Granted it hadn't entirely been his fault, but it wasn't like she knew where he'd been. For all she'd known, he up and left her. He hated himself for that. He turned to look at the other woman helping him. He didn't know her, he was sure of that.
At last he began to stand, leaning into Krypton as he did so. He didn't want to return like this, needing help, weak and starving. His breathing was heavy and slow, his head hung. When he spoke his words were very low and whispery, barely audible except maybe to Krypton.

I'm so sorry. He winced as he tried to stand up straight, his aching muscles screaming at him to lie back down. He let himself sink back into the sturdy woman beside him, her shoulder acting as his rest.

Krypton tore the rabbit open in front of the fallen male and then offered her den for the weakened brute to rest in. Libra was about to offer her help when Valette spoke telling her that she knew this male. The knowledge was comforting to Libra and she nodded watching the man eat the food ravenously, as if he hadn't esten in a very long time. Libra felt pity for the mske as she studied him, she hadnt heard much more of the conversation but she zoned back in when Valette mentioned steady, and Ezekiel who she assumed was their current ward.
"yes ma'am." she agreed and went to Ezekiel's other side. Turning kind eyes on the man she offered him a smile "lets get you somewhere to rest okay? you'll feel better soon" she murmured and nudged him gently, trying to get him to his paws. She pressed her shouldrr against him to give him something extra to lean on.

Krypton said nothing to Ezekiel, she was just happy to see another familiar face. He didn't seem to weigh too much, but t was nice to have libra on the other side to help steady him. Krypton slowly inched her way towards her den. "Just follow my lead, my den is up ahead," she told libra.
she didn't mind Ezekiel staying there, though she was unsure if aurora was still going to be bunking with her or not. Whatever the case was, she would figure it out eventually. Right now she focused on getting the weak man somewhere to rest.

Valette watched Ezekiel be carried away by the two females. She didn't have any intention to check up on him. She made sure to go to Steady and tell him that someone they lost was found again. She felt it was important for him to know. She was not pleased with Ezekiel showing up, perhaps it was just her own guilt that was at play deep down.
