All Welcome
Seraphine had found that the sand was where she was most comfortable. She loved the feeling of it when she pranced across the beach, the time spent with her siblings cleaning the grains from her white fur.

The sun was high today, beaming down on Sapphique with a warmth that Seraphine had only know a few times before. It left her happy to laze about on the sand, laid in a perfect 'sploot' listening the to surrounding waters.

She was about half asleep when something caught her eye; a little crab emerging from the sand right between her eyes. She froze completely, nervous yet intrigued by the funny little creature with it's pincers.

few things tormented sobeille more than crabs. as a pup, she’d chased them and dug at the sand they disappeared into, always turning up empty handed.

alongside the almost-asleep seraphine, she laughed to herself as she saw the primal sharpening of focus take place in seraphine’s gaze.

‘untin’ crab today, seraphine?

She whipped her head towards Sobeille when her older sister spoke, disbelief painting her face. How I be eating that? She asked, furrowing her brow. The little thing looked far from appetizing. It looks like a bug.

As though protesting Seraphine's disgust the crab clamped a pincer to one of her jowls, prompting a shriek from the girl. She definitely didn't want to eat it now! The damn thing was sharp!

some genetic memory unfurled; she could not place the time or the faces, but a word she had not heard since val walked this earth sprung to her lips.

a scuttlebug, the carmine grinned in schadenfreude as seraphine experienced the first of many sapphiqian rites: victimized by crab.

swinging a paw at the fiesty thing, sobeille laughed as the crab had the good sense to retreat, mounding sand upon itself. would you like to try?
