Valette was very keen on getting her ranger specialty, but it wouldn't be much of a ranger specialty if she stayed within the territory or their surrounding ones. She was planning on going further this time. The girl had been around the hot springs before, but she hadn't gone through it really. Frankly the steam and the heat were kind of confusing her senses.

However, today, she felt brave and determined enough to cross these strange lands. She didn't know why they were so different from the grasslands, but she thought it would be good for her as a scout to learn how to navigate through all kinds of lands. Not just fields and mountains, but also landscapes with steam and were scent was limited.

Valette walked with care around the pools, not daring to touch them too much. Her eyes focussed on what was ahead. She stiffened when she saw a ghost. She was certain she saw the frame of her father walk in the distance. Valette inhaled sharply which wasn't the best idea because she instantly started coughing and snorting with the strong scent. Her eyes teared and she looked up. The ghost was still there. Her ears flattened in insecurity.
