Valette noticed how excited Ezekiel seemed to be. It softened her a little bit on the one side, however, it also made her worried that Ezekiel wanted to do too much. Valette wanted to do most of it. She was glad that Nikai was pleased too and returned some of the licks.

"I'm really happy about it too," she grinned and wagged her tail. She nodded briefly at Ezekiel. "Thank you. I don't think I will be the best but I will try," she spoke. The female was mostly grateful that Zeke wasn't telling Nikai that he was the father. She liked to think that they were Steady's pups, but she kept being reminded they were not his. They were Ezekiel's young.
