Laurel did not stay for long to hear their indignation. She barely stayed to watch the show. With a sinking feeling in her gut she left halfway through, even as she heard Greyback's deep booming voice throw out the words to Vespera. Laurel didn't know her at all, but she heard enough to know what this place was like.
Just like all the other places.
Laurel frowned as she looked over her shoulder and locked eyes with only one of them. Charles. He looked at her. She frowned. She looked towards the stones. She frowned. It's just an empty body, anyway. It's nothing real. It's not Indra at all. They just tell me that she's still there to comfort me. But in truth, everything here was just a reminder of everything she had lost and everything she was not. Laurel frowned darkly. If only Indra was still here. They could've made their pack filled with amazonian siren women and said fuck you to all men. If only...
... Well, there was no wishing for anything.
It wouldn't be long before she would be kicked out of here, too, Laurel was certain. She just hadn't yet decided whether she would stick around to see the day or if she would leave on her own volition before then.
Just like all the other places.
Come on, boys, but they didn't come.
