Valette sounded shocked when she asked Laurel why she would think that. Laurel wondered if she wasn't aware of the black devil's name. Well, she did suppose that they didn't talk very much when they met, considering he was mostly mad and violent. The only reason she knew his name at all was because she had seen him grow from a wee baby into the monster that he was today. She felt tears prick in her eyes when Valette looked at her with shock at the unfairness of it all, at how she could've prevented all of this if only she'd known what a monster he would become.

He murdered her, Valette. She looked up at her leader, her gaze hardened and brows knit into a dark, angry frown, but her eyes shining with raw grief and emotion.
