And how near was this family of her’s? Would they not chase off a scrappy stray from their boundary? All this debate reflected in her tail as it ticked behind her.

Though, Tauris had not forgotten the benefits that were afforded wolves who ran in packs. Liberty to explore things was an option when basic needs of survival were met. Charity, or otherwise. Maybe even goodness, just for the sake of doing good. And Tauris was not so proud that she would refuse help when it so readily offered itself.
