She sidesteps his reach, pooling in amusement and in fabricated offense barks, “Hey! I was doing you a favor. Now that you smell like shite beavers won't be able to scent you.”

She grins and kicks a little creek water in his direction, an attempt to clear up his eyes some. Her nose returns to testing the air but if a beaver had been near, the ruckus had likely scared them off.

“Might be out of luck,” She draws after giving the creekbed a sturdy glance. “No matter, I know a place that always has food.”
