tullik was new to being a seal hunter woman, but chakliux knew she was ready to be first wife, and in this she was given her first responsibility: "stay with marina. a man has harmed her," and the way his face clenched beneath the hard-won control would tell the woman her husband was filled with ire.
"i go. marina," he went on, moving into his accented commonspeak, "heed tullik. rest." he cared deeply, but in his rage and haste, his voice was colder than he meant it to be, for them both.
a pause just outside the lodge's entrance gave chakliux a moment to call for @Raiyuk, ordering the boy to stay close to tullik's lodge and watch the borders for strangers, to be vigilant and fierce.
in a short while longer, new preyblood decorated the man's scars and dripped down his pale cheeks beneath the hard eyes. chakliux went to war. he searched for @Heph and @Rodyn, offering a brief illustration of the dark fur and deep charcoal eyes borne by this assailant. he told them he would search now, and revealed to them where marina might be found, safe with tullik and raiyuk.
and then he left, shoulders stiff with anger as his lope turned into a hunting stride.
