“You’re home,” he releases another sob and tucks her head against his cheek. Months of anguish spill down his cheeks in the form of tears. His arm tightens over her in disbelief. "Thank you... thank you for not giving up on me."

“Where are...” his voice croaks into nothingness. His trembling dread shakes them both, and he realizes he cannot bear to know the answer to this question. But he must ask it. Judah pulls back only a few inches to look his sister in the eyes. He is stricken by her tears, by the afflicted face that looks back at him.

“Where is everyone?”
