Hideaway Strath drowning in calm waters

He can see the conflicting emotions swirling like a maelstrom in her sunset eyes. He waits patiently for her answer, hopefulness even showing through his steely facade. Yet, when she speaks, she speaks as if she might as well not forgive him at all. It makes him deflate a little, he tries not to allow the sigh loose from his throat, instead he inhales. 

“I will not mistake your forgiveness for forgetfulness.” He copies like a mantra. His voice isn’t careless though, it is accepting and understanding. “You have all the reason to blame me for your downfall. I will help you, Leigh.” He hums slowly down to her, his eyes never leaving her own. He sighs then, “I can tell you havnt truly forgiven me, but we can work towards that, yes?” He asks hopefully.
