He can tell she isn’t particularly impressed by his playful antics, but it doesn’t bother him. He simply stands to full height afterwards and watches her stand herself and shake off. 

Good. She says. “Good.” He parrots back. 

Then all of a sudden she’s giving him a casual goodbye. It does hurt him a bit, but what does he expect to be treated like after everything that’s happened with them two. He doesn’t want her to see it though and he tries to keep himself passive as she turns to leave. 

A curt nod and repeats “Catch you later, dear.” as his own farewell. It’s soft and his eyes might even betray a hint of hurt. Hopefully she doesn’t notice before he’s turning away himself.
