He revels in the feather light moan that slips from her dark muzzle. He loves the sound of her voice when it strikes his ears in their throes of pleasure. He likes the way he seems to be her whole world. He loves her savagery and he thinks that if Simmik had never loved him back after their fallout, the midnight woman could’ve been next on his list. He would get her affection where he can, never able to deny it and always searching for it. 

Then after a long time of her nuzzling against him, she speaks. Words of complicated meaning. He tries not to smile — women are so complicated — but he leaves it at that. If she wanted to talk, she would and he knows not to pry women in that regard. Or most women at least.

I’m hungry. She states then and his ears perk softly. Yes a hunt to take her mind off everything. That should help. He dips his chin closer to his chest and laps at the crown of her skull.

“Then we’ll get good for you, sweetheart.” He purrs. His instincts to take care of women have always been strong and the need to please her strikes him deadly in the chest. 

He stands, playfully, but softly, nipping her scruff like he knows she likes and begins moving. “Let’s go find some deer then, shall we?” He chirps, trying to lift her spirits.
