Dispirited and looking no further than his beany toes, Gucci didn't see the female, larger that most of those who lingered in Akashigo, until she spoke. He let out a bit of a surprised yelp at that, but composed himself, feeling that if his little heart skipped another beat he might just drop dead.

"Oh, apologies Miss, ah ain't seen ya." From his perspective it was hard to look upon the whole of another canid, but she seemed a slender, black and grey thing. 

She gave him news that had his ears perking up.

"Prince? Like, o' a country?" His little maw gaped. He heard of pets inheriting their master's wealth or property, but he was sure no-one had ever given a dog the status of royalty.

" 'F course am goin wi' him!" The toy stomped his paw. "Ahv got the moster important job o' a-keepin' poor recoverin' Crawfeather in a good mental health! Show me where they moved him. 'N' who moved 'im? He needs gentle care n, n good support t' walk at this point, recovery's a tough job y'see it takes much n, n..."

The dog prattled on.
