If there was one thing Solarus could appreciate, it was the solitude of a quiet wood.
His body moved in hefty, capable strides- urging him onward through the glazed-over thicket.
Still, in all his magnitude, he felt uncertainly off- padding along in a frazzled, irregular pattern.
His mind wondered and his body seemed to follow. One random step and then another.
Twisting and turning through the mysterious thicket, with no particular destination in mind.
Except his thoughts-
To escape
his thoughts.
Then, a sudden, recognizable scent. One so familiar that it caught Solarus off guard, giving him pause. “Lunaria,” he whispered, his voice coated with doubt. Could it be? It had been a while since the warrior had last seen his sister. Still, he pressed on. Whether toward his sister or away from his imprisoning thoughts, he was not quite sure which inclination was stronger.

Close. Too close. She spied him from afar and broke into a run, her patience thin after she had stayed awake for so long. Endlessly, she had circled the borders, keeping a vigilant and watchful eye for anything amiss. The valkyrie did not expect there to be but since she had learned of the Beta of Neverwinter's kidnapping, she kept one eye cast over her shoulder almost always, watching.
She pulled up in front of him, snow flying out frojm under her paws as she skidded to a halt, wasting no time in turning and baring her teeth at the intruder.

Out.It was not a request but a demand; had he been any further inward and Keres would have sunk teeth into him.

Solarus came to a full-stop upon the sudden appearance of the she-wolf, barely missing contact as he took a few cautious steps back. She was a few years older than he was, a lovely, dappled silver that complimented the chill of the snowy backdrop behind her. And, if he had been in better spirits, he would have likely attempted to offer her his charming smile and flirtatious greeting- try to soothe her with his suave manner.
“My sister is here! Isn’t she?...” he frantically eyed the territory.
“Lunaria! Do you know her? Have you seen her? Is she--? Alive?!” he half-shouted, half-spat at her.

A bit of commotion at the borders had caused the young raven to wake up and unfurl from her sleeping position, rubbing her eyes and gazing towards the direction of their borders in concern. The recent announcement of neighboring packs being kidnapped -- even a possible war -- all of it stressed her out. As if the Glen didn't have enough to deal with in the upcoming season, now there was blood to be shed.
The social butterfly now needed to be more cautious when approaching outsiders. With the way things were right now, she'd risk danger to herself or packmates if not...
"Keres? What..." eyes squinted slightly from previous sleep, the huntress came across the farmiliar silvery pelt of the older woman at the borders and approached her flank to peer behind. Sighting another not from their glen would've made the she-wolf bristle anxiously, but when the dark blurry figure in Lunaria's tired vision came into full view, she fell silent.
Was she hallucinating?
Dreaming?
Was this really....
"S....Solarus!?" No, that's gotta be her brother. As crazy as that was right now.

She missed!
The recognition shared between the two held no weight with the woman spun from silver, tail lashing as the man ignored her command and instead asked questions that she gave no ear to.
Out!She would snarl a second time, though it was now she lunged forward, snapping her teeth towards his face, his ears, anything she could reach.
Lunaria was paid no heed; if this was truly her littermate, then she had a fool for a brother.

Normally, the valiant warrior would have taken an aggressive snarl and fierce forward- lunge as an invitation for a fight. However, today was not that day. Solarus eyed Kere's territorial display, tiredly, as if to say- have you lost all sense of civility? Still, he couldn’t blame her for being upset- his intrusion was, to say the least, unpleasant.
A familiar voice stirred a strange, joyous sensation within the brute, as Solarus glanced over to see Lunaria appear, before him- as if in lucid daydream.
The moment didn’t last long as Solarus observed the two wolves, weighed his options and then took off into the silence of the wood.

His turn to exit made Luna feel a sting in her chest to say the least. All these months after not seeing her family and this was the reunion they were faced with. A whine and ears pinned against her head, Luna unconsciously reached out as if to say 'Come back', but she knew the attempt would put the male in harms way.
Instead, the female quietly turned away with a bitter feeling stirring in her stomach. She was definetly going to scout out her brother soon -- for he couldn't have gone that far yet, but for now, she needed to return to the territory...

Luna was already turning away.
Wait. Go after him,She would command Lunaria, not casting her out but sending her after her long lost sibling. Even after he had trespassed, she would not deny the girl her reunion.
Teach your brother some manners while you're at it. We are on high alert. She assumed, after everything with the Saints and the missing Beta of Neverwinter,
He was lucky to recieve a warning. Next time, he may not.

At the sound of Keres voice, the raven paused and turned in suprise. Despite running her brother off, she still wanted Luna to see him.
Ah damnit, what was Luna thinking!? Sol suddenly appears and she was walking away back to camp instead of chasing after him?? Pack life must've scrambled her mind ....
Lunaria would offer a chuff of understanding towards the older woman before turning her heels to chase after Solarus. He couldn't have gone that far...

Luna turned and went, leaving the silvered wolf to huff in agitation as she watched the pair run off. In truth, he was lucky Keres had been the one to ward him off. Any of the others and he'd likely been met with teeth in his hide; perhaps he would know now. Perhaps he would be mindful.
Job done, Keres moved to continue on her patrol, adrenaline draining from her veins to leave her even more tired than she'd been before.
Fade.
