All Welcome
just a single post from me. any threads i'm in may be wrapped up.

Something in the air was changing. Perhaps it had changed a year ago or even more. Treepie was a woman of her own now, and Sialuk felt the pull of the outside world. She remembered the day that the spirits had whispered her future to her, in a way. She had fulfilled the destiny set out for her, and now she wanted for more. The Ostrega had left this place in times past, but there was something about this time that felt different. She couldn't quite pin down what that was.

She visited @Alaric first, letting him know she trusted him with Moonspear; she always had. She and @Treepie would visit the northern coast for some time so that her daughter could learn from other villages. It was a thing Sialuk herself had done before she had become a leader, and she thought Tiuttuk could benefit from the experience, too. There were so many other cultures out there, so many different ways of life that her little bird would not get to see if she stayed on the spear. A "leadership retreat" Pie had called it, and Sialuk knew it was the right choice now that her daughter was becoming more and more comfortable with the world outside of the confines of the village.

Her path went to @Killdeer, thanking him for his friendship and wishing him luck with his new interest: Amalia. To Tikaani, Sialuk gave a warm smile. She had been Pie's steadfast friend through so many things, and if she wished, she could accompany them on this journey.

Sialuk spent one final night in the comfort of her oh-so-familiar ulaq, then set out north toward the coast. She gave Treepie the option to come right along, or the two could meet near Sapphique before continuing along the coast, departing the Teekon Wilds entirely.

She didn’t want to leave the mountain. She didn’t want to be apart from almost everyone she knew and loved. She didn’t want to go to faraway places and socialize with dozens of strangers. But Tiuttuk did want to become a leader, perhaps more than anything else except her wish to become an anaa herself someday. If she could do this, it would prove she was actually worthy of that honor.

Her heart pounded as she shadowed Sialuk’s footsteps, her mouth gone dry as her yellow eyes panned the distant northern coastline. Treepie forced herself to pause and lean against a tree, closing her eyes and taking a few deep breaths to steel herself. She glanced behind her—one last glimpse of Moonspear jutting into the western sky—and then faced forward.

Tiki had made a decision perhaps late. But a decision had been made. She raced after Sia and Pie. Hoping she could catch thrm. She'd go with them on this journey. She would learn with Pie. So pie was not alone.

She had whispered good byes to her family and away she had gone.

She had felt restless for sometime
But she was so glad to be a part of something more.
