Mal was certainly not a wolf of the sea. Of course, his interaction with the wolves ages ago had been a different kind of trauma. Not exactly a place he wanted to go revisit unless he had to. At some point he should but for now, naaaah. Yeah, not my thing -- guess it's another reason to be glad I got encouraged to go elsewhere. Think I'm happy here after all. Smirk.

By the time it's time for you to go, do you think she'd need a second round of tutoring later or what? How long did it take people to learn to fight anyway? Maybe Lenny could fill in some gaps too.
