She won't tell you what she needs? That would be kind of weird, especially since, knowing Mal, it was probably pretty obvious he wanted to help. 

She smiled when hearing of Caerus' most recent antics. Of course he did, she said with a small huff of laughter. At least she wasn't angry with him it seems. Then she paused and, curiosity getting the better of her as usual, she asked: How did she end up here in the first place? Had Mal found her in need and offered her a place to have her kids? If that was the case, you would think she would be more willing to make sure her needs were met; maybe she was just the suffer in silence type? Simmik could understand that mentality.
