Backdated to.. Uhh. Dec 1? 2? Whatever it was, after he gets back from his search. For @Aibreann, other tags are for ref.

At a certain point he had to give up and head back. Alone. That was hard, because he could only imagine the worst. Whether it was before or after, he'd tell @Valkyrie -- and later @Liliana and @Caerus, to warn them that this wasn't a time to wander far -- that Simmik was gone, and to spread the word that people really should play it safe for now if she wanted. The culprit seemed obvious. Mal was not happy.

He needed to talk to Aibreann for several reasons, including making sure that their children actually stayed put, which wasn't usually something that was a big issue. Usually. Maybe before she'd said that it was better to just let the guardians do their job or what-have-you.. But it didn't seem like that was working, was it? So, heavy steps brought him to through her usual haunts. Guess what? Mal had bad news again! Seemed like an ongoing thing. Something they didn't deserve -- either as individuals or as a pack. Why did this keep happening?
