Sawtooth Spire zweiter teil

he described something that bored phaedra, to her disappointment. ever reaching for a sense of purpose, the girl clung to new concepts as ivy clings to oak.

she didn’t let dissatisfaction show, intuiting this thing to be something of importance to her father. it also sounded important to the whole of them, their home, but youth still afforded her the notion that any amount of importance carried with it the inherent risk of dull work. 

with a grumble to punctuate his apprisal, the girl whirled on their path to face him, mouth playfully arched as she led them by her tail. 

“suppose we didn’t remind them,” she cast a look about the rampant greenery. “would we have to come back to this horrible place?”

oh! it would be a shame. he would have to drag her kicking and screaming, as evidenced by her looks of mischief and anti-agricultural scheming.

to leave the bypass behind in favor of the mountain that called her home in a soul-scrying way only apt to destiny. 

to fetch her family back to where everything once felt right and good.

a crying shame indeed!
