Ocean's Breath Plateau ground zero was the surface of the sun

The shoulder knocked the wind from him, and made blood well from the wound on his chest. However, thanks to his stockiness, though it knocked him almost over, he managed to keep his stance. But claws dug deep into his leg, shredding skin and fur. Gunnar managed to get away and he circled the youth. Blood falling to paint the sand. 

He struck forward, feinted once, or twice and then went for a shot that would knock the youth to the ground. He didn't want to take his life. He just wanted him to stop. But he would snap at the youth's face and throat again, maybe tear into his chest if he could reach.

 Though he had shortened his tether so to speak, ,by backing up to regroup. He could run he suppose, but his father had always taught him to never run from a fight.
