Limit Two
Under @Siarut's watchful eye, Taktuq was allowed outside the family den. Although she was still timid about the world beyond their cave, she found herself more comfortable with her surroundings with every visit outdoors. Today, she lounged in the sunshine, studying a dandelion.  It was unlike anything she had seen before, and she was intrigued by it.

Taktuq swung her forearm to hit the plant; her way of exploring her current interest. Much to her surprise, it vanished upon contact, and the seeds drifted every which way. Helplessly, she watched as the remains floated away with a frown—this was not the outcome that Taktuq had expected.

Kallik had certainly learned his lesson. He wasn't going to wander from the den for a very long time, the memory of what happened last time still shooting fresh terror through his chest. There had been a long period of time, during the commotion, that he feared his dad and Valette would disappear as his mother had, and that was not something he was likely to forget anytime soon. If he went too far from the den, bad things might happen.

He was still curious, though, despite the recent trauma, and so when some of the white fuzz landed on his paw where he was laying in the den entrance, he peered outside with interest. He knew his sister had wandered outside—he had watched her, but he hadn't been very interested in following at first. Instead the little bear had been staring solemnly at his father, wondering if he was still angry with him. But the fuzz—that had pulled his attention away from dad and now he lowered his nose to the weird stuff. He sniffed it a few times and then swiped his tongue across his paw to taste it; it tasted like nothing. But now he wanted to see what else Taktuq was up to, so he rose from the ground and trotted over, sitting next to her with an expectant look. What next?

Kallik's approach was a welcomed distraction, and she turned towards him with an expression of grief. "Aie," Taktuq greeted sadly, her tail wagging lamely behind her. She was still happy to see him, despite everything; her emotions conflicted unfavorably.

"Buh bi," Taktuq explained, filling in Kallik. "Pilly buh bi," Taktuq repeated, and then motioned to the stripped weed in front of her. Hopefully, he'd understand.

Unfortunately, he didn't understand at all. The words were mostly gibberish and as he had stopped making any attempt to speak, he was especially inept at interpreting the babbling of his siblings. He did, however, know body language fairly well; he did a lot of watching and it was his only way of communicating.

Kallik stared at her blankly for a few moments, his gaze dropping to the naked plant when she gestured towards it. His brow furrowed in confusion as he looked back to his sister and he tilted his head to the side. What was she trying to tell him?

Taktuq watched Kallik with furrowed brows, at a loss for words; he hadn't understood what she had said. Her expression hardened, and she thought for a moment, contemplating her limited vocabulary. "Buh-bi..." Taktuq began, slowly. Her mind raced as she sought another word, her ears pushing forward, and a frown pursing her lips.

"Buh...bi?" Taktuq repeated, wondering if Kallik had grasped that much.
