whatever happened the night before was forgotten by morning. that was surprising, considering how nosy orochi was. he would insist on knowing what everything was doing at all times. the curiosity was exclusively hurled at his mother, since she was the only thing he knew. so one would think he’d be wide awake when the pair relocated to a new den. but he had eaten a particularly big meal that night and he was too full and too tired to bother with anything. wasn’t like there was much to discover anyways. he could barely hear anything and couldn’t see. oh well, he could do some exploring in the morning.
and explore he did because he would be blessed with a new sense that day. for the first time in his short life, he opened his eyes the sun. it wasn’t a pleasant experience. the rays of light scorched his delicate eyes and he let out an annoyed squeak. orochi would’ve huddled back to his mom’s side, but he couldn’t. there was something off about this place. it felt much more cramped then usual. once the boy’s eyes adjusted to the light he searched for answers.
and there they were. two featureless figures smack dab in the middle of the room. oh no, this wasn’t about to happen. this was his turf and he didn’t remember giving out any invitations. these intruders would have to get out tout suit.
the angry fluffball squirmed his way towards them, grunting angrily all the while. the smallest of the two was his first target. orochi grabbed onto one of his paws and started chewing.
