Valette noticed her son moving through the stone circle from the tree line of their forest. The female noted how big he had become, still tall and lanky, big bigger too. They had that from their father. Valette had been seeing Newt around but talking about Clay's disappearance was hard. Plus there were so many other things the Matriarch worried about as well.

Valette decided that now was a good time as any to approach her son. She moved towards him with a quiet trot, it was the gamekeeper in her that always kept her light on her feet without a noise. Plus, she didn't have much weight left to make her sound heavy. Hunger gnawed at her, but the mother made sure her children were fed first, always. Even though they were close to Greyback's size now.

Valette smiled warmly as her son as she approached. "Hi Newt," she spoke and stepped closer to try and give him a motherly greeting with licks and kisses of course. Her normal bustling energy was low but it was clear she was happy to see him. Then she noticed the rabbit tracks in the snow. A good sign. Prey seemed to come back but Valette was mostly looking forward to the bison returning. "How are you, Newt?," she asked.
