One way or another, the wolves of Moonspear would make such things happen by sheer force of will. Though Dirge did not allude to his anxieties, the silver-dressed female could handily guess at them; the chance that a loved one was gone from you, possibly forever, was all-consuming. Add that to the grief that loomed over like a monster ready to descend and it was a surefire spell for depression.

We can head that way, or cover new ground. Or both. There's three of us, so we can fan out and see what we find. Three wolves searching in the same spot wouldn't do much, if anything. This would at least give them all something to put their minds to and better aid in the search.
