The days after her argument with @Holland had led the silvered valkyrie even further than before. Whether or not such defiance of his wants of her was intentional would remain unknown, a possibility she did not give much credence to as she spent her time moving north of her home and angling into the Hinterlands. There was, of course, a small voice that told her to be wary, that reminded her that the Saints lived on this side of the wilderness. It was this voice that she intentionally ignored, forging on ahead despite the risk she knew it brought.

Moon shining bright above her, Keres would carefully pick her way along the wet-slick stones of the river banks, her surroundings a sight to behold. And yet, the beauty of the location was lost on her, her focus turned inwards as she moved almost mechanically. A slave to her own thoughts, the presence of another wolf was also lost to her, not seeing him across across the narrowed neck of the river.
