It wasn’t the smartest move she’d ever taken, but as soon as she realized what was happening with @Teya, Bridget decided to take a little space from the Caldera.
Her fever had broken a few days ago, and while she didn’t feel one hundred percent, she could at least keep food down now. She’d have to regain the weight she lost but it wouldn’t be hard in a pack like Brecheliant; the Caldera had plenty of resources even in the colder months.
This trip would do her some good. She wouldn’t risk a repeat of that first year, and Bridget wasn’t sure self control could handle the minefield it presented. Bronco was too good a guy and Bridget, for all of her virtues, too much a hot mess when it came to this one specific thing. Better for all of them if she disappeared for a week. She could pick up some supplies while she was at it.
Bridget barely looked at the forest as she stepped beneath its shade. She knew nothing about its history or the many packs that had come and gone here. It seemed peaceful, however, and like the ideal place to hide away for a short time.
She felt guilty for leaving. She would have felt guilty for staying. One thought had occurred to her, though - and she’d invited @Sorana to join her. She figured she probably wasn’t the only one who might want a little space right now.
