It was rare for Glaukos to be caught lazing. It wasn't that he was slacking in his work (although that was the feeling that spiked through him as he heard a call for his attention); it was a moment of reprieve from that same work he coveted, wherein the man had found a section of the forest which could house his burly self, and he had been half-asleep when that sound carried to his ear.

As he roused, it was as if the earth shuddered. There was the creaking of the old log at his flank, mostly. The hoisting of his shoulders up, and the grunt of acknowledgement as the barest sleep was forced away. Summoned as he was, Glaukos need only find Solharr's scent in order to track him.

The man marched, and the forest debris slid from him as dust and snapping twigs. Some of the leaf-litter tangled in his muddied, nested furs. Upon finding Solharr, the soldier would pause and give a huff (mostly to clear some phlegm, but loud enough to alert to his arrival there)—and he then awaited orders.
