Glaukos had intended to stay in one place, to serve as the defender while Alaric was the attacker, but he was swept up in the moment. As Alaric fell back and snapped, and missed, and was pushed out of the center of the field, Glaukos focused and lunged.

He saw that one of Alaric's greatest strengths was his ability to move; and as he did not want to dissuade the man from training in the future, he would have to be careful. He moved in the manner of a charging bull to ram in to Alaric and potentially send him off-balance.
