As time passed the herd would draw the attention of others; Revui could recall seeing this happen in the north, when a bear had been idling in range of passing caribou. It had not occurred to him yet to be wary of it. A story for another time. The field was clear save for the grazing does and the curious fawns - until there came a shifting figure along the edge of their path. Revui did not have a good line of sight on the shape so he adjusted his angle as he walked, stopping only when he could discern a more canine silhouette.

His first instinct was to call out but he refused it, not wanting to startle the herd or cause a panic. Revui let his tail lift slightly as he watched the stranger on their approach. Sizing them up. Determining if they were friend or foe - though it wouldn't have mattered if they were both hungry, the stranger was an able body and Revui felt confident enough in his abilities to hold his own if any trouble arose.

Thus he said nothing, merely waited and watched, and the herd idled nearby.
