dated for tomorrow. @Orochi

Somewhere along the way back to the coast, she had intended to curve back to Neverwinter for Mal's words, but the appearance of Orochi caused her to make a detour. There was something she longed to do now- now that the devils would pack their bags and leave. And the northern coast would be theirs, and wholly theirs, once again. You want to hear about their crime? She casually questioned Orochi, though an easy smile rested on her face in good humour. Some of the Yuèlóng wolves were too kind for tasks like this, and likely the older and more respectable leaders would scoff at her childish behavior. But out of all the leaders that had been present, Huā was likely the least mature, and celebrating her victories in mocking jokes made her feel a little better about herself. As if the initial triumph wasn't enough, it would feel good to disrespect them just one last time before they left, even in a little way like this.. So as Huā arrived at their borders, she squatted to mark the land with Yuèlóng scent, little grin encouraging Orochi to do the same.

Orochi had kept to himself for the most part since coming back. Hide needed time to get used to the island, and he needed some time alone. As the days went by he became more and more restless. He couldn't stop thinking about the failed mission, and that bothered him. It's a good thing Huā came to him when she did.

Yeah, tell me more. Even without knowing the full story he was eager to stick it to these criminals. He did not hestitate to follow Huā's lead by pissing on the closest tree.

Yeah, tell me more.

Huā was aware he had joined in the silly work, but did not look at him as she told the story. Well, the man who live here is woman-kidnapper, and violent, She muttered, And the woman is crazy bitch who do not know when to shut her mouth, Huā laughed that part, shaking her head and moving to another tree. Both so proud and arrogant. Even just with four member, She snorted. Maybe Yuèlóng make enemy now, but they agree to move after me and other leader go tell them to. I think when or if they come back, we will be prepare with more warrior... She musingly considered, protective of the young, and yet knowing that a new generation was a chance at new strength, new hunters and warriors and healers. All it took was a child with passion.

Seeing as he'd been kidnapped two times (practically back to back), he could say with certainty that this guy was an asshole. And the woman didn't sound any better. To him they were all witnesses of a crime, standing by and not doing anything. Orochi wish he'd been there to tell them off. He'd do more than talk.

You think they'll come back? Orochi snorted. They were either really stubborn and stupid or the leaders didn't do enough. See, this is why these dilemmas required less chit chat and more asking. Send them running through the hills!

What other warriors do we have? You know, besides him the best one. And Ying and Aiolos or whatever.

vaguely brushes over minori bc of future drama LOL

Huā felt the same- even if one committed one crime, and one another, by association, they were both supporting eachother's evils. If there was a lesson to be learned here- besides, y'know, basic manners of society- it was that these people ought to be careful who they made enemies with. Huā was little and pretty and foreign, but if she wanted to unite her allies and local packs to chase them out, she'd damn well do it.

I do not think so... but I will check again in a few day, just to be safe. She muttered, huffing out a breath. Well- besides you, there is Aiolos... another woman, the new general, another woman you do not know... ah... perhaps Astaroth knows how to fight? Uh oh. Their army was okay, but also it felt a little shaky, and Huā wasn't sure that Ying would've been satisfied with it. Maybe it really was important to teach the kids... Orochi... do you think it is a good idea, to teach the members who do not fight, to fight? Or should we recruit more warrior from outside, maybe? She wasn't planning on war, but Donovan was evil, and she really wasn't sure what to expect from him. The idea of her own kids being kidnapped made her shudder, and lit all the more of a protective fire within her.

What was that? New general? Why did she wait this long to tell him he'd been replaced? Orochi wanted to, well, he wanted to do a lot of things. Growl, shout, fight; the usual stuff. Only an ear twitched. This wasn't the problem at hand.

Everyone in Yuélòng should know how to fight before we recruit anyone. What if they come and attack us? Everyone's gotta know how to defend themselves.

Any anger he held at that decision went unnoticed by Huā. At a different time she might've felt bad, but with new threats constantly appearing, they could never go too long without a leader for battle on hand. Still, moments like this made her re-remember why he had been general. Reckless, short-tempered, but he knew the right steps to take, and he had never let his missing leg drag him down. Okay. I think this makes a lot of sense: everyone should know, at least, some self-defense. She was not considerimg the kids as part of that just yet, that idea would come in some little time later, but this was the first step towards that. Do you want to test some members, maybe, see where their battle skill is at? The moment it left her mouth she realized it was something she probably should've said to Minori instead- but what was the harm in requesting it from Orochi? He'd probably better appreciate the chance to spar with everyone anyway, considering his love for fighting literally everything.

Orochi nodded. Self defense should be the priority. There shouldn’t be any sitting ducks within their ranks, especially at a time like this.

Her offer caught him off guard. He’d expect the new general to be tasked with a job like that, but he wouldn’t complain. It made him feel important, and the thought of training got him pumped. Admittedly, the fighting part was more appealing than the teaching.

Yeah, course I do.

wrap with your post? <3 ty for the thread!!

Huā marked another tree, and then turned away, ready to head home whenever Orochi was. He seemed happy with her proposal, and she nodded in a way business-like- a permission for him to test the wolves of Yuèlóng when he saw fit, as long as no one got hurt. Thank you, Orochi. You ready to go? She wondered, looking to him and turning towards the coast ahead- ready to leave before any lingering saints came to attack them for their slightly petty game.

yup!

If the saints were stupid enough to return, hopefully they’d deterred by their markings. It’s a job well done, their work here was finished. Orochi nodded, and would allow Huā to lead the way back to the island.
