All Welcome
If you have time <3
Mae had noticed @Nicodem's antler. It reminded her of her own treasure, the amber she kept with her always, and so the girl found herself thinking about it often. She wondered what her brother would make of it. The piece of amber remained a secret from all but Uncle Arric, but she thought that maybe it would be safe to show Nicodem. He had his own treasure, so he wouldn't need hers, right?

So she went to him, careful to avoid the scents of her other packmates. She carried the amber in the squirrel skin Arric had promised her, which had quickly become almost as precious to her as its contents. She was followed always by the quiet rushing sounds of the creek, but Mae's focus was singular toward catching any hint of her brother's presence.

I will make it! <3 :3

Nico had taken to finding items that appealed to him. He'd gathered a few trinkets on his travels with Arric. They were simple things, for the most part. He'd taken interest in an arrowhead that had been buried near the edge of the creek. The waters had washed it down until it was smooth and sharp and beautiful. There had been little hesitation in snatching this treasure from the creekbed.

If he'd paid closer attention, Nicodem might have realized that his sister had a trinket for herself. He had seen the satchel she carried, though he had never bothered to investigate what was within it. It was Mae's and so he left her to tend to whatever it was in peace.

However, as she plodded along in search of him, he thought it might be worth his while to find out what she had in her bag. With mismatched eyes locked on her familiar figure, Nico emerged and chuffed a low noise.

Her tail stirred the air as her brother's dark visage bloomed from the undergrowth. Mae let the squirrel skin tumble into the dirt, and with one paw shifted it to reveal the treasure tucked within. The amber gleamed for a moment under a sliver of sunlight. Then the trees shifted with the breeze and the glow of it was gone with the light, and Mae's eyes found Nicodem, searching for a reaction.

She almost spoke. But it just didn't feel right. These silent times belonged to her and her brothers alone.
