Duck Lake Pools

Duck Lake. He knew of it from his mother, and even then he had passed it during one of his trips out of Easthollow. The lake wasn't too far from his home, a little bit of a journey, but one well worth it once you arrived. It teemed with life, from the clear blue waters to the abundance of ducks that cried all around.

Better yet, it was a place where he could practice fishing. He hadn't forgotten his bet with Polaris, and he intended to become a master fisher. One that could easily outfish her any day, though truthfully he had never even tried. He was so much more used to his feet on the ground, wind in his face, and the thrill of a chase, but now as he stared into the clear pool he had no idea where to even begin.

In Kaistleoki they seemed to wade into the water or wait at the shore and scoop out a fish with ease, so really...how hard could it be? Scooting towards the lake's edge, he peered into the depths, searching for his first target.

She would provide for Easthollow. This is what she promised Val-et and West Tyree. Speaking of the latter, she spots the wolf a few paces away. Ahead of her. Zola quickens her pace, only to slow when she notices the young man near the water.

Huffing a quiet greeting, she walks slowly to his side. Now they were tribemates. She felt little need to be ashamed and shy around new wolves here. Especially ones that spoke on her behalf. "Hunt?" Zola asks the lad, shuffling her amber eyes from his face to the water.

A huff startles him as green eyes find the newcomer. He's surprised to find that she followed him, he had expected to be alone should...he not be as great at fishing as he liked to believe he could be. Though...maybe this was good. Maybe she knew how to fish from...where was she from again? Somewhere far away, he knew that much. Aferia? Oh well...

Ah yeah, you ever fish? West craned his neck to peer closer at the calm water, I hear they're slippery, but I've seen wolves grab them out of the water. Thought I'd give it a shot.
