It was official. Kamau was lost, utterly confined to the random direction in which his feet carried him.
A few days had passed during the reach of the ocean. With little motivation, the dark man moved slowly. It was almost a relief to hear the crashing waves against the shore. Even with a sullen mood, the mute could not help but feel the rhythmic banter of his tail behind him.
Now, where to go from here?
The shore did indeed mark the edge of the wilds, but there was still so much more to the north and south that he had yet to discover. But in truth, did he really want to continue? His feet ached and his mouth had gone dry, for he had not opened it for even a sound since he'd parted from the Rise. Was it even worth it to continue?
