All Welcome
Rhonen had not been alive long. But it had been long enough to learn his siblings, his parents @Reyson and @Meadow and the frequent visits of @Tamar and @Arsenio .

He didn't know what they looked like, smelled like or aounded like, but it was softness and love he felt them.

Today though at the rays of sunlight on the ground a new sensation as he opened his eyes wide in surprise. He could see, blurred and awkward but he could see.

He quietly stared around with baby blues.

She was tired—her age, she assumed, played a role in this, and she knew now why so many had children when they were younger. In truth, she considered this might be a one and done act for her—but she hadn’t discussed it with Reyson yet.

She watched the sun greet the world once more—spanning across to lighten the cozy family den with warmth and promise—and while she dozed softly, every so often looking to her young with admiration she could not begin to describe, she did catch the soft blue eyes of one of her boys, and her lips pulled up in a sleepy smile. “Rhonen,” she crooned in greeting, paws reaching to nestle the boy closer.

Vibrstions in the air. He turned bleary eyes towards them. He couldn't quite make out the face, but he knew the presence to be his mother.

She pulled him closer and he cooed softly. As she maneuvered him nearer her face became clearer and he reched overly large paws to the face that peered down at him.

He patted at her cheeks and nose, but it is entirely possible he poked her poor eye.

A poke to the eye—a jab to a nostril. Such was the life of a mother, and even as her face was being jabbed and prodded, she of course could find nothing more precious in this world than her son, his perfect paws, and his perfect face, and his perfect little nose…

She allowed him to continue his exploration, dipping her muzzle down to nudge softly at his side, breathing in his still-there baby smell. “Little Rhonen, what do you think… You going to grow up to be as big as your daddy?”

Rhonen wasn't sure what exactly his mother was saying, but he cooed none the less. Flapping his overly large paws in delight as she tickled at his tiny belly.

Mama was his world as was daddy, but daddy was big big, he could feel the presence of both and sometimes it was a bit scary. He looked around as if searching not that he could really see much, nor could he explain the feeling of fright sometimes when he was lifted into the air by dad.
A soft fluttered of eyes as he turned back to mama searching her face so he could remember it. A soft hiccup and a sneeze followed by small sound, that was perhaps a giggle.

He was precious.

This moment was everything.

Then he sneezed on her—and any other wolf it might have drew a derisive resolve from her, given her experience and field, yet with her baby, it didn’t matter.

She pulled him closer, preening at him. His fur was silk—his eyes wide and beautiful.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to tell or show you and your brothers and sister just… How important you are to me. It’s immeasurable,” she whispered softly to him, knowing he would not understand—but hopefully, through her touch and actions, over the years, he would grasp this one day.

maybe fade with next post and new one

Rhonen didn't know the words she spoke, but he felt safe and warm. And loved. He curled a paw around whatever he could reach. Little claws hanging in downy fur. A soft whistle and yawn as his eyes slowly began to turn to slits. Sleepiness licking at their edges.
