Heron Lake Plateau We might fall in love- or fall apart

Everything happened so fast. 

One second she was aiming for his ribcage, and just before impact, he lowered his own head and like two rams gearing up for a rutt, the two collided. She only had a second to realize what was happening and winced, but when they butted heads- literally- all she felt and heard was a resounding crack, and the next second, there was nothing. 

Niamh dropped like a ragdoll, the momentum from her charge causing her limp body to tumble awkwardly over her shoulder and flip over once, stirring up a small cloud of dust before she fell very still. She breathed, and her eyes were somewhat opened, but Niamh had been knocked unconscious before she even hit the ground.
