Heron Lake Plateau Lost some pieces I can't replace

Niamh immediately felt guilty when Colt assumed she'd been serious...And she couldn't have been, could she? There was a tinge of fear in his voice when he came up to her and spoke, and yet again she forced a wan smile that creased the corners of her mouth but lack sincerity completely, as the worry lines were still present near her eyes. He was there, all of a sudden, right beside her, and she realized as dark spots began to enter her vision that she'd been holding her breath, so she let it out with a sigh, and before she could inhale, the lowered and turned her head, and pressed it into his chest. 

When she drew a breath, it was ragged and hitched in her chest. She wanted for everything to go away- for Ceara to disappear and leave her alone, and for Screech to come back and be himself again. Everything was all too much for her- she couldn't quiet the voices in her head, and couldn't wade through the tsunami of feelings that constantly pinned her down.
