Heron Lake Plateau Lost some pieces I can't replace

Had Colt said the wrong thing at that point, he likely would have lost her- but she had a few reasons to reach out to him just then, the first being the fact that she knew he would do the right thing, and allow her to lean on him. Secondly, he had reached out to her once before- and had told her that if she needed anything, he'd be there. While she hated to cash in favours or demand much of others, as she was a fairly independant wolf, there was no avoiding it- she needed someone. He had offered, and now she was taking him up on that offer- and she needed it so badly that she didn't even feel guilty. 

He was warm, and she felt safe and secure when he pulled her close with one foreleg and rested his head atop hers. She didn't want to pull away, ever. It had been so long since Niamh had needed someone, and she couldn't remember the last time she'd needed someone and had actually had someone who was willing to care for her. She stayed there, breathing warm air into his soft fur, until eventually she found her voice, as feeble as it was. 

"Screech attacked Raven." She said, but could muster nothing else.
