the melonii male's small speech fell on uncomprehending ears, but his posture did not. she studied the intense way he leaned, the earnest in his expressions -- tokens that whatever he uttered now were important. astara would have liked to understand, but she lacked the education, having a penchant for more feral purposes than either her mother or sister had previously reckoned.
