Sun Mote Copse Waking young and feeling old

Niamh was beginning to feel flustered and ill-prepared for the winter. Sleeping in a den had always made the most sense to her, and even though she and Colt hadn’t been given permission to breed, she still felt the urge to get a den ready. Maybe Wildfire would let them- they were both in good standings with the pack, both had trades they regularly exercised, and they were ready. She felt they were, anyway.

So she gave into her nesting instincts and began to dig a new den out of an old fox hole, but had to take a few breaks as the frozen ground was hard on her claws. She’s made the entrance just wide enough for Colt to get in, and then she’d dig the rest of the den out. She preferred a tiny entrance to the den for safety reasons. Once she’d tired herself out, she lay in the entrance way to take a break and watch as a few small snowflakes fell.
