She was just the same, now far more irritated than before, but Charon had taken leave of the mountain after she had not catered instantly to all of his concerns, so Ame stayed on patrol just to see what he might try to do. Patience on the matter had been long lost, apparently, and she had half a nerve to keep him there, away from their family if he was going to misunderstand her so badly as that.

She rounded off one of those said patrols late afternoon, and started climbing the elevations on the prowl. Hunger was starting to trail after her, and she was after something good, something fresh--and something to really rip her teeth into. With greenery starting to flourish and return generously to the mountainside, she trusted she could rally up prey that could fit those needs.

Thinking about where her damned offspring might be, she willed them into helping her as she started to pick up a vague scent of a wandering deer. She'd need more noses, or better odds.
